Eng. Bassam Abdel Rasoul

Group Chief Technical Officer

Eng. AbdElRasoul has joined Misr Cement Company – Qena since 2020 as the Group Chief Technical Officer (GCTO) as he reports directly to the Executive Board of the company. His duties include closing international cooperation with different organizations and companies; reviewing cost reports to locate excessive expenses and decision making of necessary corrective actions. Eng. AbdElRasoul also leads and oversees all activities to ensure the highest standards applied in all plants; leading the Technical function for Operation and Maintenance and its subsidiaries, in addition to several duties.

With more than 25 years of professional and distinctive experience, Eng. AbdElRasoul started his career in 1994 as he joined the Arab Swiss Engineering Company (ASEC) serving in several roles. At the company’s Assiut Cement Plant, he was an Area Maintenance Engineer from 1994 to 1995, an Environmental Control Engineer from 1995 to 2000, and a Lecturer at Arab Swiss Engineering Company (ASEC) ASEC TRAINING STAFF from 1999 to 2003.

Eng. AbdElRasoul then moved to the Arab Swiss Engineering Company (ASEC) (Sinai Cement Plant) as an Area Maintenance Engineer, Technical Office Leader, and Preventive Maintenance Manager.
In 2003, Eng. AbdElRasoul Joined the Algerian Cement Company (ACC) (M’sila Plant-CIBA Plant) . Eng. AbdElRasoul started working in RAMLIYA Plant from 2008 to 2014 as a Maintenance Manager & Deputy Plant Manager. Eng. AbdElRasoul continued his career and joined Sinai Cement Company (SCC) as a Technical Director, Deputy Technical Manager, and General Plant Manager from 2015 to 2020.

Eng. AbdElRasoul is an Egyptian born in 1965 who got his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Power) from Meunfoia University in 1987. Due to his awareness of the importance of knowledge, he managed to get the MIBA “Global Management” from ESLSCA University –Egypt in 2013, the certification of being International Arbitration Advisor –Egypt in 2015, and the Strategic Planning Diploma “IMPAC and IPI” in 2021.
