Mr. Ahmed Mizzar is a successful business leader with a strong resolve, competencies, and achievements. Mr. Mizzar held different and critical positions at various reputable companies since he began his career. The responsibilities of his current role as the Group Chief Procurement Officer include procurement, warehousing, inbound logistics and planning of various operations and activities of the company.

With an extensive experience that spans for more than 23 years, Mr. Mizzar starting his career as an “Auditor” at Ernst and Young International in Cairo. His role at EY included: understanding accounting standards and applying audit programs; examining business cycles in firm “System narrative”; performing test of control, substantive tests; as well as being responsible for business consulting jobs and World Bank assignments.

Mr. Mizzar then joined Lafarge-Holcim in 1999 (Formerly Orascom), during his 13 years with Lafarge he worked locally in Egypt and Algeria Business units, serving as “Head of Corporate procurement”, where His duties revolved around: establishing corporate procurement department Structure, policies and procedures; being a decision maker of a yearly spends around $ 130 million; managing Oracle implementation and many other duties.

Mr. Mizzar returned to Cairo in 2009 as the EMEA Strategic Sourcing Director, at the same company, where he was responsible for sourcing activities for Lafarge business units across Europe, Middle East and Africa; defining negotiation strategy and manage the bidding process; operating relationship with regional purchasing management; supporting business units’ implementation and follow up contract compliance.

During 2013, He moved to UAE and joined RAK white cement as Supply Chain Director, where his job description included being responsible for Procurement, warehouse, logistics departments.

Mr. Mizzar was the “Procurement Director” at Minya Portland Cement in 2019; and from 2020 till present, he is the “Group Chief Procurement Officer” at Misr Cement Group. Mr. Mizzar holds a Bachelors degree of Accounting from Cairo University and an MBA from ESLSCA University.
